Multiplying 1/2 by 3/3 and 1/3 by 2/2, we get ,. 3/6 and 2/6.

Again multiplying the denominator and nominator of 3/6 and 2/6 by (5+1)= 6,

(2 x 6)/(6 x 6)= 12/36

(3 x 6)/(6 x 6)= 18/36

Therefore, 5 rational numbers between 1/2 and 1/3 are 13/36, 14/36, 15/36, 16/36 & 17/36.
