The two reasons for land degradation are

• Over-exploitation of land-----× This means that the land is being used without any need. The land is getting wasted by leaving it fallow or not growing any crops.
• Over use of fertilizers---------×Excessive use of fertilizers can effect the nature of soil. It can turn the soil acidic or badic in nature which is really not good for growing crops. Fertilizers have so metallic characteristics that they can sometimes also harm the soil.
