Two rectangular sheet of the same dimension but different colors that is red and blue are used to form two cylinder. The length of the sheet is 44m and the breadth 22m of the red sheet the height and the length of the blue sheet being it height. 1.calculate the radius of the red cylinder and the blue cylinder lengths. 2.what is the curved surface area of the red cylinder and the blue cylinder. 3.what is the volume of the two cylinders. 4.which of the two cylinder would contain liquid with the highest capacity

The dimensions of the BLUE sheet are not given. I may solve the questions for only RED.

1. Perimeter of the base of Cylinder = 44m

or,

2πr = 44

2 × 22/7 × r = 44

2r/7 = 2

r = 7m

2. Curved Surface Area of Cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 22

= 2 × 22 × 22

= 968

3. Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 7 × 7 × 22

= 22 × 7 × 22

= 3388

4. The capacity cannot be compared as the parameters of BLUE cylinder are not known.
