Answer:

Same to same (i.e. 1:1)

Explanation:

In Series combination the current remain constant and thus same amount of current would cross each resistor,

as the charge is conserved thus it flow in the wire in similar amount through both the resistors HOWEVER the voltage is dropped across each resistor differently.

NOTE .: in parallel combination the current flow through each resistor may differ and voltage is same in contast to it.

Answer:

The ratio of current passing through each resistor is 1 : 1 .

Explanation:

Let,R_1 = 16 Ω and R_2 = 8 Ω

Now two resistance are connected in series combination.

In series combination,the current through the circuit remain constant.

So the same amount of current will pass through the each resistor.

∴The ratio of current passing through each resistor is 1 : 1 .

In parallel combination,

       I_1 R_1 = I_2R_2

    →   \frac{I_1}{I_2}  = \frac{R_2}{R_1}

    → \frac{I_1}{I_2}  = \frac{8}{16} = \frac{1}{2}

∴In parallel combination,I_1 : I_2 = 1:2

and series combination , I_1 : I_2 = 1:1
