Two resistors are connected in parallel and the effective resistance is
found to 3 ohm. But when one of them burnts the resistance becomes
12 ohm. What is the resistance of the resistor which has burnt ?

12ohm of resistance of a resistor because they are connected in parallel. They don't burnt next resistor of them
