The total amount required is Rs. 43,186.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In the attached figure ABCD is rectangular field with 100m length and 80m breadth.
  • Area of the field = 100 × 80 = 8000 m^{2}
  • width of the road is 3m.
  • Area of the road = (100 ×3) + (80 × 3 ) - (3 × 3)
  •                           = 300 + 240 - 9 = 531  m^{2}

∴ Area of the garden = Area of the field - Area of the road

                                          = 8000  -  531 = 7469  m^{2}

  • ∵cost of road per  m^{2} = 11  Rs.
  • ∴total cost of road = 11 × 531 = 5841 Rs.
  • ∵ cost of garden levelling per  m^{2} = 5  Rs.

∴total cost of garden levelling = 5 × 7469 = 37,345 Rs.

∴Total amount required = 5841 + 37,345 = 43,186  Rs.
