Two sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 5:3. If its perimeter is 64
cm, find the length of its sides.​

Here is your answer..

Suppose one side is 5x and another side is 3x so opposite sides must be 5x and 3x because it's a parallelogram and thus opposite sides are same

Perimeter = sum of all side

64 = 5x + 3x + 5x + 3x

64 = 16x

x = 4

So sides are 20,12,20,12

Answer:

Let the length be5x and breadth be 3x

Perimeter=2(l+b)

Perimeter=64cm

64=2(5x+3x)

64=2×8x

8x=64/2

x=32/8

x=4

length=5x=5×4=20cm

breadth=3x=3×4=12cm
