Two sides of a triangle are 10 cm and 12 cm. The perimeter of the

triangle is 38 cm. What is the length of the third side?​

Let AB = 10cm

AC = 12cm

Perimeter Of Triangle ABC = 38cm

TO FIND

We need to find the length of the third side i.e BC

PROCEDURE

To find the length of the third side , we just need to subtract the sum of the two sides from the perimeter of the triangle

Perimeter of triangle = AB + BC + AC

SOLUTION

Perimeter = AB + BC + AC

==> 10 + 12 + BC = 38 cm

==> BC = 38 - 22 cm

==> BC = 16cm

Therefore the length of the third side is 16cm.
