GIVEN:

  • Two sides of triangle are 16 cm and 22 cm
  • Perimeter of the triangle is 64 cm

TO FIND:

  • What is the Semi perimeter of triangle ?

SOLUTION:

Let the third side of the triangle be 'x' cm

To find the perimeter of the triangle, we use the formula:-

\large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: P = Side + Side + Side \: \star}}}

{\underline{\underline{\bf{According \: To \: Question:-}}}}

➠ 64 = 16 + 22 + x

➠ 64 = 38 + x

➠ 64 –38 = x

26 cm = x

Now, we know that, the formula for finding the Semi perimeter of triangle is:-

\large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: s = \dfrac{a + b + c}{2} \: \star}}}

  • a = 16 cm
  • b = 22 cm
  • c = 26 cm

{\underline{\underline{\bf{According \: To \: Question:-}}}}

➠ s = \sf{\dfrac{16 + 22 + 26}{2}}

➠ s = \sf{\cancel\dfrac{64}{2}}

s = 32 cm

Hence, the Semi perimeter of triangle is 32 cm

Answer :

\Large\bold{\underline{\textsf{\pink{Given:}}}}

• Two sides of triangle = 16 cm and 22 cm

• Perimeter of triangle = 64 cm

\Large\bold{\underline{\textsf{\pink{To\:Find:}}}}

• Semi - perimeter of triangle

\Large\bold{\underline{\textbf{\pink{Solution:}}}}

Now , Third side = Perimeter - Sum of two sides

▶Third side = 64 - (16+22)

▶ Third side = 64 - (38)

▶ Third side = 26

FORMULA USED -

\bold{\boxed{\boxed{\mathtt{\red{Semi-Perimeter\:=\: \dfrac{a\:+\:b\:+\:c}{2}}}}}}

• Semi - Perimeter = \dfrac{16\:+\:22\:+\:26}{2}

• Semi - Perimeter = \dfrac{64}{2}

\large{\boxed{\mathtt{\pink{Semi-Perimeter\:=\:32\:cm}}}}
