 Given \: sides \: of \: two \: squares (a) = 19\:cm

/* According to the problem given */

If two cubes placed side by side without any gap then new shape formed at base is a rectangle*/

 Now, Length \: of \:the \: rectangle = 2a \\= 2\times 19\:cm \\= 38\:cm

 Breadth \: of \:the \: rectangle = a = 19\:cm

 1 ) Perimeter \:of \:the \: rectangle \\= 2(l+b) \\= 2( 38+19)\\= 2\times 57 \\= 114 \:cm

 2 )Area \:of \:the \: rectangle \\= l \times b \\= 38\:cm \times 19 \:cm \\= 722 \:cm^{2}

Therefore.,

 \red{Perimeter \:of \:the \: rectangle}\green {=114 \:cm}

 \red{Area \:of \:the \: rectangle}\green {=722 \:cm^{2}}
