Calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) when treated with chlorine yields bleaching powder.

Ca(OH)2 + Cl2 → CaOCl2 + H2O

P is HCl and Q is NaOH. Both P and Q separately react with zinc metal to liberete hydrogen gas. P and Q i.e., HCL and NaOH will react with other as follows:

HCL+NaOH---≥ NaCl +H2O
