Hey mate!

Your Question:

Two supplementary angles angles by 46°. Find the angles.

_________________

Solution:

Supplementary angles: Pair of angles which have their sum as equal to 180°.

Let the angles be = x and y [x > y]

Thus, x + y = 180°

x = 180 - y ___(i)

According to the question, the second equation will be:

x - y = 46°

Put (i) in this equation:

=> 180 - y - y = 46

=> 2y = 134

=> y = 67°

x = 180 - y

=> x = 11

Angles are: 67°, 113°

Answer:

supplementary angles! =180°

x°+(x°+46)=180

2x+46=180

2x=134

x=67

first angle 67°

second angle 67°+46°=113
