Answer:

So allowing tables=t, and chairs=c, then:

2t+3c=3500

3t+2c=4000

2t+3t+2c+3c=7500

(5t+5c)÷5=7500÷5

t+c=1500

t=1500-c

2(1500-c)+3c=3500

3000–3000–2c+3c=3500-3000

c=500

3t+2(500)=4000

3t+1000–1000=4000–1000

3t÷3=3000÷3

t=1000

3 tables and 2 chairs is 4000

3×1000=3000

2×500=1000

3000+1000=4000

2 tables and 3 chairs is 3500

2×1000=2000

3×500=1500

2000+1500=3500

So the cost of one table is 1000.
