The capacity of required container will be obtained by finding the HCF of the capacity of tankers -

180 = 2×2x5×3×3

240 = 2×2×2×2x2x5

Common factors of 180 and 240=2x2x5

HCF = 2x2x5
= 20

Answer) The container which can measure petrol of either tank exactly must be of 20 litres.

Anonymous: I am sorry 240=2x2x2x2x3x5
Amanshaikh1: 240 factor are wrong
Amanshaikh1: what is the ans
Amanshaikh1: i think 20
Amanshaikh1: srry 30 l
Amanshaikh1: tell me
Anonymous: yes you right
Anonymous: because HCF=2x3x5=30
Anonymous: sorry for wrong answer
Amanshaikh1: no problem

capacity of first tanker= 180 litre
capacity of second tanker= 240 litre
maximum capacity of container which can measure petrol
=HCF(180,240)
180= 2*2*5*3*3
240=2*2*2*3*2*5

HCF=2*5*3
       =30

Amanshaikh1: is that right
ggangabaghirathi: ya
Amanshaikh1: hmm
Amanshaikh1: hey give me anss of my next question
