Two tankers contain 540 liters and 300 liters of petrol respectively.

A container of maximum capacity is used to measure volume of petrol in either tanks

To Find : how many containers of petrol are there in the first tanker.

Solution :

•Maximum capacity of container that can measure the petrol of both the tanks is HCF of 540, 300

• HCF of 540 & 300 is 60

• So , container of capacity 60 litres is to be used to measure petrol in both tanks

• Also, First tank i.e. 540 litres can be measured by 9 containers .
