504 and 735 into Prime factors we get :-

504 = (2³ × 3² × 7)

735 = (5 × 3 × 7²)

HCF (504,735) :-

(3 × 7) = 21

Capacity of the required container :-

= 21 litres

To find:

"Maximum capacity" of the container.

Answer:

To know the "maximum capacity" of a container than can measures the milk of both the tanks, first, we need to calculate the HCF of 504 and 735

HCF \ of \ 504 = 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 7

HCF \ of \ 735 = 3 \times 5 \times 7 \times 7

HCF (504,735) = 7 \times 3 = 21

So, the capacity of container should be 21 litres.
