Two taps A and B can fill a cistern in 6 hours and 9 hours respectively. In the beginning, both taps are opened but after 3 hours first tap is turned off. How much longer will the tank take to fill?

A can fill in 1 hr  = 1/6

B Can fill in 1 Hr  = 1/9

A & B Together can fill in 1 hr = 1/6 + 1/9

Cistern remained to fill = 1 - 5/6 = 1/6

B can fill cistern in 9 hrs

=> B can fill 1/6  in 9/6 = 1.5 hrs
