The two third of earth surface is salty water which is not suitable for drinking water which we drink is the water which we get from rivers and lakes from rain sources

apart from that, the water in the rivers,lakes,ponds, groundwater etc have been polluted by different human activities hence there is a shortage of water in the world ...
