SOLUTION

GIVEN

The towers are i front of each other and thier heights are 25m and 10m the distance between them is 15m

TO DETERMINE

The angle which the line joining their tops make with the ground

EVALUATION

Here it is given that two towers are i front of each other and thier heights are 25m and 10m the distance between them is 15m

If we represent the problem in the figure we get

AB = Height of first tower = 25 m

CD = Height of second tower = 10 m

∴ AE = CD = 10

∴ BE = AB - AE = 25 - 10 = 15

AC = Distance between the towers = 15 m

∴ AC = ED = 15

Let θ be the required angle

Then from the right angle triangle Δ BDE we get

\displaystyle\sf{ \tan \theta =   \frac{BE}{DE}  }

\displaystyle\sf{ \implies \:  \tan \theta =   \frac{15}{15}  }

\displaystyle\sf{ \implies \:  \tan \theta =  1 }

\displaystyle\sf{ \implies \:  \tan \theta =  \tan  {45}^{ \circ}   }

\displaystyle\sf{ \implies \:   \theta =  {45}^{ \circ}   }

FINAL ANSWER

Hence the required angle = 45°
