speed of one tractor = x and speed of other tractor = x+5

since they are moving in perpendicular directions, they will form a right triangle.

in 2 hours, distance covered = 2x km and 2(x+5) km

(2x)² + {2(x+5)}² = 4x² + 4x² + 100x + 40x = 50² = 2500   (pythagoras)

= 8x² + 100x - 2460 = 0

= 2x² + 25x - 615 = 0

solving the equation , we get x = 12.366 and -24.866

since speed is never negative , x = 12.366 km/h

other speed = 17.366 km/h
