Two trains 125 metres and 115 metres in length are running towards each other on parallel lines on at the rate of 33 km per hour and other at 39 km per hour how much time will it take to pass each other from the moment they meet

The speed of second train = 39 kmph.

Now we have to find the time taken to cross each other.

The distance covered( d ) = length of first train + length of second train.

d = 125 + 115 = 240 m = 0.24 km.

Equivalent speed ( v ) = speed of first train + speed of second train.

v = 33 + 39 = 72 kmph.

Time = \frac{distance}{speed}   = \frac{0.24}{72}   = 0.00333 hour = 12 seconds
