Answer:

0.5seconds

Explanation:

L1=150,L2=110.

V1=300m/s,V2=180m/s.

from relative velocity

total velocity of trains=180+300=480.

total length of the trains=110+150=260

so the trains will cover 260meters with 480m/s speed

time taken =260/480=0.5seconds

Given : Two trains, A and B, are moving towards each other. Train Ais 150 meters long and is running at a speed of 300 m/s, Train Bis 110 meters long and is running at a  speed of 180 m/s.

To find : How much time would the longer train take to cross the shorter one?

Solution:

Total Distance to be covered = Length of both trains

= 150 + 110

= 260 m

Both Trains are running towards each other hence relative speed

= Speed of both trains

= 300 + 180

= 480 m/s

Time = Distance//Speed

=> Time = 260/480

=> Times =  0.54 sec

None of the given option are correct

Time taken by  longer train take to cross the shorter one is 0.54 sec
