Distance travelled by Ist train=13.25×4
=53m/sec
Respectively,2nd train=9×13
=117m/sec
Total distance= 117m+53m
= 170m
Total speed= 13+4 = 17sec
Time taken = 170/17 = 10 sec .ans

ashaq1: wrong
anilkhajuria6: How
ashaq1: 17 sec , it is total time not total speed

Solution:-

given by:-

》the ratio = 4:13

》let -->the both train speed is 4xm/s and 13xm/s

》first train length is = 4x×13.25 = 53xmtr

》2nd train length is = 13x×9 = 117xmtr

》bcoz trains speed is opposite direction
then total speed = 4x+13x =17xm/s

》total length = 117x+53x= 170xmtr

》 the time taken by trains to cross each other is:

》 time = length/speed

》 time = 170x/17x

》 ( time = 10second ) ans
