Two trains are travelling in opposite direction at 72 km/h and 90 km/h. They cross each other in 16 s. If the length of the slower train is 320 m, then find the length of the faster train (in m).

Answer:

Speed of first train = 72 km/ h

Speed of second train = 90 km/h

The common point when they meet = 72+90

= 172 km/h

The slower train length = 320 m

Speed of train = Distance/ / time taken

So,172*5/18 = 47.77 m/s

= 47.77/320

= 6.69m/ s

So, speed = 6.69m/s
