With the Treaty of Surji-Arjungaon (Dec. 30, 1803), it marked the end of the first phase of the Second Maratha War (1803–05).

On 30 December 1803 , the Dauat scindia signed the treaty of surji _ Anjangaon with British after the battle of Assaye and Battle of Laswari and cended to the British Rohtak , Gurgaon , Ganges _ jumna , Doab , the Delhi _ Agra region, parts of Bundelkhand , Broach , some districts of Gujrat and the fort of Ahmmadnagar.
