Two triangles ABC and PQR are congruent triangles such that AABC = AQPR by RHS congruence criterion. If smaller sides of AABC are 5 cm and 12 cm and B=90", then find the length of side QR.​

Given ,

smaller sides of triangle ABC are 5cm and 12cm

and angle B is 90 degrees

and triangle ABC and triangle PQR are congruent

so by cpct

ANGLE B = ANGLE P = 90°

AND SMALLER SIDES OF TRIANGLE PQR ARE 5 cm AND 12 cm

SO BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

 {5}^{2}  +  {12}^{2}  =  {qr}^{2}

 {5}^{2}  = 25

 {12}^{2}  = 144

so

 {qr}^{2}  =  169

QR =

 \sqrt{169}

QR =
