Two triangular glass prisms are kept together connected through the rectangular side . a light beam is passed through one side of the combination. Will there be any dispersion. Justify your answer.

The resulting setup behaves like a glass slab and results in the combination of the colours and produces white light. The change in the speed of light when it passes from one medium to another is known as dispersion. When a beam of light is passes through a prism it splits into a band of seven colours, but when another prism is placed along side the fist one, it combines the band of light and turns it into white light. In both the cases dispersion comes into play.
