Given:-

Base=>AC+CD

=>10cm+8cm

=18cm.

Height:-(displacement between AD and point B)

=5.5 cm

_______________________________

Formula:-

Area of Triangle=1/2*base*height

_______________________________

Area of Triangle ABD:-

⚫1/2* base *height

⚫1/2 *18*5.5

⚫1/2 *18*5.5

0.5*18.5*5.5

⚫9*5.5

49.5 cm2

Answer:-

49.5 \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

POINTS TO REMEMBER:-

You can solve this question from Another Method also......

__________________________

By this Formula Area of ABC + Area of BCD

Height of both became same....

(Given)

Base of ABC=10 cm

Base of BCD=8 cm

Area=>(1/2 * 5.5* 10)+(1/2*5.5*8)

=>27.5+22

=>49.5 cm2
