potential difference = 220V
let the power on bulb 1 and bulb 2 be 50W and 60W respectively
We know that
power = Potential difference × current
or, P = V × I
Power on bulb 1 = 50W
=> V × I = 50
=> 220 × I = 50
=> I = 50/220
=> I = 5/22
Power on bulb 2 = 60W
=> V × I = 60
=> 220 × I = 60
=> I = 60/220
=> I = 6/22
In parallel combination, the sum of the currents through each path is equal to the total current that flows from the source
So, Total current = 5/22 + 6/22
=> 11/22 A Or 0.5A
Therefore, 0.5 Ampere current is flowing through the main conductor
