Answer:

Rs. 50 per kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of rice of third variety be p.

From the Ratios we get:

2x30 + 2x35 + 3xp = 7x40

⇒ 3p = 280 - 60 - 70 = 280 - 130 = 150

⇒ p = 50

Given,

Cost of two variety of rice = Rs.30 per kg & Rs. 35 per kg.

Ratio= 2:2:3

Cost of mixture of rice=Rs. 40 per kg.

To find,

Cost per kg for the third variety of rice = ?

Solution,

Let the cost of third variety of rice be x.

From the ratios we get,

⇒ 2×30 + 2×35 + 3×p = 7×40

⇒ 3p=280-60-70 = 280-130

⇒ 3p=150

⇒p = 150÷3 = 50

Hence, the cost per kg for the third variety of rice will be Rs.50 per kg.
