Answer:

The ratio in which the superior and the inferior varities of sugar have been mixed is 3 : 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A be the amount of Superior sugar and B be the amount of inferior sugar

Let the price of the mixture be x

then

Price of the Superior sugar = x + 0.5

Price of the Inferior sugar = x - 0.75

Now

A(x + 0.5) + B(x - 0.75) = (A + B)x

or Ax + 0.5A + Bx - 0.75B = Ax + Bx

or 0.5A = 0.75B

or A/B = 0.75/0.5 = 75/50 = 3/2

Therefore, the ratio in which the superior and the inferior varities of sugar have been mixed is 3 : 2
