Answer:

Let us consider temp as constant

#For hydrogen gas

*Initial condition:

Pressure of gas (P1) = 750mm

Volume (V1) = 1.5 l

*Final conditon

Pressure (Ph2) = ?

Volume (Vh2) = 5l

From boyles law

P1 × V1 = Ph2 × Vh2

or, Ph2 = 750 × 1.5 ÷ 5 =225 mm

#For oxygen

Initial conditions

P1 = 100mm V1 =2l

Final condition

Po2 = ? Vo2 = 5l

From boyles law

Po2 = 100×2÷5=40 mm

Finally

final pressure = 225 + 40 = 265mm
