let ab and cd be the towers =50 metres and 40 metres respectively
and the point from where the person is watching be e.
therefore,in triangle abe,
tan 45=opp/adj=ab/be
         1 =50/be
          be=50 metres
in triangle cde,
tan 45=opp/adj=cd/de
        1=40/de
        de=40 metres
the distance between the wind mills=bd=be+ed=50+40=90 metres
therefore the answer is 90 metres
