square has 4 side then 36 ÷ 4 =9 then area will be 81 and rect 2( l+b) 36÷2 =18 take any eg then I will take 12,6 or 5,13 4,14 the ans will be less than 81 so answer is square
the square will be greater

Answer:

Square will have a greater area with 81 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the wire = 36 cm.

Therefore, the perimeter of the square = perimeter of rectangle = 36 cm.

Let’s first consider the perimeter of the square = 4a = 35 cm.

4a = 36 cm

a = 36/4 cm

a = 9

Therefore the area of the square = a^{2} = 81

Likewise, perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (l+b) = 36 cm

l+b = 36/2 = 18 cm.

When l+b is = 18, there are 3 possible values of the l and b, i.e., 12, 6 or 13,5 or 14,4. In all these cases, if we calculate the area of rectangle, the area will be less than that of square.

Therefore, square has greater area.
