Two years ago kiran is twice old as priyanka. Now the difference in their age is 10.Find their age

Let, the age of Kiran and Priyanka are x and y respectively.

Given that : Two years ago the age of Kiran is twice old as Priyanka.

According to the question :

(x-2) = 2(y-2)

=> x-2y = -2...(1)

Also given that : difference of their ages is 10

x-y = 10 = x = y+10....(2)

On putting the value of x in equation (1)

y+10-2y = -2

=> y = 12

On putting the value of y in equation (2)

x = 12+10

=> x = 22

So, the present age of Kiran = 22 years and present age of Priyanka = 12 years.
