The scattering of light by colloidal particles is known as Tyndall effect.

Tyndall effect can be observed in Heterogeneous mixtures like :
*   Suspension - in stable form
*   Colloidal solutions
In colloidal solutions particles are big enough to scatter light.
If a beam of light is put in collodial solution, kept in a dark room, the path of the light beam is illuminated and becomes visible when seen from the other side.
This scattered light enters our eyes and we are able to see the path of the light.

Hope it helps!!!❤❤❤
