It will form an ionic bond.

Or a GermaniumQuadflouride  bond

An ionic bond is formed between a metal and a non metal, because it involves complete transfer of electrons.

In this case,Germamium is a metal while Florine is a non metal.

The metallic element gives atoms for the non metallic element.

When a metal loses its atom,it becomes an ion.

Fluorine will lose its atom and become a fluorine ion.

Germamium and fluorine ions will now have equal but  differently charged ions, and since different charges attract, they will attract each other to form an ionic bond.
