A chemical reaction is a type of reaction where the atoms of two or more element react with each to form new substances.

Types of chemical reaction :-

• combination reaction - in this reaction, two or more substances react with each other to form a single substance.

Example :- Cao + H2O -----> Ca(OH)2

• decomposition reaction - it's actually the reverse of combination reaction. A single substance breaks to give simpler products.

Example - CaCo3 ------> CaO + CO2

• displacement reaction - in this type of reaction, a more reactive metal replace a less reactive metal from its solution.

Example - Fe + CuSO4 -----> FeSO4 + Cu

• double displacement reaction - the reaction where there's an exchange of ions between reactants to form new compound is called double displacement reaction.

Example - AgNO3 + NaCl ------> AgCl + NaNO3

Hey mate here is your answer

Six common types of chemical reactions are: synthesis, decomposition, single-displacement, double-displacement, combustion and acid-base reactions. Scientists classify them based on what happens when going from reactants to products.
