When a body does not change its position with time, we can say that the body is at rest, while if a body changes its position with time, it is said to be in motion.Linear motion is motion in a straight line.
Non-linear motion is motion that is not in a straight line.Types Of Motion
There are different types of motion: translational, rotational, periodic, and non periodic motion.

When an object is not at rest position and is moving then the object is said to be in motion.
There are two types of Motion...
1. Uniform motion
2. Non - uniform motion
1.UNIFORM MOTION : When an object covers equal distance in equal interval of time ,then it is said to be in uniform motion. Example : Rotation of earth around sun, freely falling object.
2. NON-UNIFORM MOTION : When an object covers unequal distance in equal intervals of time, then it is said to be in non-uniform motion. Example : Car moving in a busy road.
