Heya!!

<b>Here is your answer

<b><i>The different types of motion are:

⭐Linear motion (Rectilinear motion, Curvilinear motion)

⭐Periodic motion

⭐Oscillatory motion

⭐ Circular motion

⭐ Rotational motion

⭐Vibratory motion

Now,let me explain these to you✌️

✨Linear motion has two types of motion in it.Rectilinear motion and curvilinear motion. In rectilinear motion,a body moves in a straight line. For example,a car moving in a straight path. And in Curvilinear motion,a body moves in a curved path. For example,a bounced ball.

✨Periodic motion. In this type of motion,a body is periodic or in other words 'regular' as the word suggests itself. For example, the string of a pendulam clock.

✨Oscillatory motion. In this type of motion,a body oscillates or completes its path in a fixed time. For example, consider the string of a pendulam. It moves to its left, and right, and returns to its starting position in a fixed time.(1 second in case of a standard pendulam).

✨ Circular motion. This this type of motion,a body moves around a circular path. For example,a toy train moving in its track.

✨ Rotational motion. In this type of motion,a body moves around its own axis. For example, consider the Earth which moves around its own axis.

✨Vibratory motion. In this type of motion,a body causes a vibration. For example, when we pull the strings of a guitar.

⭐ Hope it helps you ⭐

What is Motion ?

The change in the Position of an object with respect to its time and surrounding.

  • Motion is mathematically described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, speed, and time.

Various Types of Motion

  • Translatory Motion:- Motion in which all points of a moving body move uniformly in the same line or direction. Ex:- Man running.

  • Linear Motion: A body or an object is said to be in linear motion when it travels along a straight line or along a curve in a plane. Ex:- An athlete running 100m in a track.

  • Curvilinear Motion: The motion of an object moving in a curved path is called curvilinear motion. Ex:- A ball thrown into the air at an angle.

  • Random Motion: The unpredictable type of motion in which an object moves in any direction(zig zag manner) and the direction changes continuously. Ex:- A footballer

  • Rotatory Motion: The motion formed when an object rotates or spins on an axis. Ex:- Rotation of Earth.

  • Rolling Motion: Rolling motion is the combination of rotation and translation of that object with respect to a surface. Ex:- A ball rolling on surface.

  • Periodic Motion: The motion which repeats itself at an equal interval of time. Ex:- A swinging Jhoola

  • Oscillatory Motion: The to and fro motion of an object from its mean position. Ex:- A pendulum

  • Vibratory Motion: The motion in which a body moves to and fro from its mean position is called vibratory motion. Ex:- The strings of guitar.

  • Multiple Motion: When a body/object posses more than one motion then it is called multiple motion. Ex:- Rolling down a ball through inclined then the ball will do the rotational motion as well as linear motion.

According to the state of motion

It has two types

  • Uniform Motion: A body is said to have uniform motion when it travels equal distances in equal intervals of time. Ex:- A car moving on a straight road without any change in its velocity.

  • Nonuniform Motion : A body is said to have nonuniform motion when it travels unequal distances in equal intervals of time. Ex:- A person jogging in the park.
