There are three types of muscles. They are:
1. Voluntary Muscles:
=> These muscles are under the control of Individual's will.
Example: Muscles of arm and legs.
2. Involuntary Muscles:
=> These muscles are not under the control of Individual's will.
Example: Muscles of blood vessel and eye.
3. Cardiac Muscles:
=> These are muscles only present in heart.
Function: To bring rhythmic contraction.

There are 3 types of muslces
1) Striated Muscle / Striped :
-- They are also called voluntary muscles because they are under our control.
-- The cells are multi- nucleated and unbranched.
-- They are present in limbs, neck, facial muscles,etc
2) Unstriated/ Unstriped muscle :
-- They are also called involuntary muscles or smooth muscles;not under our control.
-- The cells are uni-nucleated and unbranched.
-- They are spindle-shaped.
-- They are present in walls of stomach, intestine, urinary bladder,iris of eye.
3) Cardiac Muscles :
-- They are also called involuntary cells.
-- Cells are uni-nucleated and branched.
-- They are found in heart only.
-- They are involved in rythmic contraction and relaxation throughout our life.
