A young fold mountains ranges about 10 and 25 million years old while old fold mountains range can be over 200 millions old ..... old fold mountains are usually lower elevation and can be more like rolling he is such as the appalahians.

(b) Large scale map usually show more detail than the small scale map where as on smaller scale map there is simply not enough room to show all the information available details so features such as stream and roads often have to be represented as single lines and area feature like cities have to be shown as a point.
