- Ram was born to poor parents; his father was a daily wage worker and his mother worked as a nanny.

- Ram had a natural talent that became obvious to his parents when he was very young: he sang like an angel.

- His sweet voice made them forget their hardships.

- Unfortunately, they could not provide him with any formal training.

- That did not discourage Ram to keep on listening to songs on the radio and television and singing!

- He saw an advertisement on television for Indian Idol.

- He knew that he stood a poor chance against trained singers, but he was passionate about showcasing his talent to the world.

- He took up a waiter's job at an eating joint, collected enough money for a train ticket and left with his parents' blessings for the audition.

- The judges were taken aback by his melodious voice and beautiful rendition of songs.

- He had an edge over the other competitors as he was determined to prove his worth and shine despite his poor social background.

- Ultimately he won as he was determined to accomplish his mission

In a village in Chattisgarh, there was a boy named Rajesh. He was very good at his studies and had a keen interest in studying. When he completed his secondary education, his father asked him to work along with him in the fields as there were no higher secondary schools in the village. To study further, he would have to go to the nearby bigger village and his father couldn't afford the expenses of his higher studies. But, Rajesh was determined to study and he started looking for some ideas by which he could fulfil his dream.

One day, a teacher from the nearby city came to his village due to some work. He saw Rajesh working in the fields and he asked him about the way to the village school. Enthusiastically, Rajesh showed him the way to his school. On the way, the teacher asked him about his studies and he told everything. Hearing his problems and seeing the desire of studying in his eyes, the teacher decided to help him.
