My name is Anjana and I always dreamed to become a musician.

Coming from a humble family background, I never had the means or money to afford those expensive music classes that were advertised in the newspapers.

Also, my parents felt that I should focus more on my studies and join a typical job with a steady pay so that I could help reduce their burden.

So, I studied hard for their sake but at the same time, I never gave up learning music late at night for my sake.

I stood by my dream and became a software engineer.

I learnt music by listening to the radio whenever possible and by borrowing notes from a friend of mine.

I joined a software company and saw an advertisement for a musical talent show.

I participated in it and worked hard day and night.

The judges and public were awestruck by my talent and ultimately I won it as I was determined to achieve my goal."
