They are indirectly related as they lead to the formation of bacteria and insects which spoil the food.

  • Unclean surroundings lead to the development of various type of bacteria and even insects.
  • For example - Moulds may feed on a variety of foods, including bread, fruit, and vegetables. It multiplies as a result of formation. This is a process that can be managed and put to good use.
  • Similarly, an unclean environment invites insects such as cockroaches and flies. It is harmful to food, as they might crawl, giving it an unpleasant flavour and look.
  • If the surroundings are unclean, the water can also be polluted, giving the rise to fungus on food, causing the food greenish in colour and making it unfit for consumption.
  • The only thing one can do is maintain the environment as clean as possible and ensure that fresh meals are rotated quickly.
