Number that should be added = 200 and rows and the number of plants in each row = 80

Given:

  • Under Clean and Green school project, a school planted 6200 plants in the school.
  • Plant in such a way that each row contains as many plants as the number of rows.

To find:

  • The least number that should be added to 6200 to make it a perfect square.
  • Rows and the number of plants in each row.

Explanation:

  • Plant in such a way that each row contains as many plants as the number of rows.
  • Hence number of rows is equal to number of column So the number of plant should be perfect square.
  • So after 6200 the nearest perfect square is 6400 which is grater than 200 from 6200.
  • So we must add 200 to get equal number of rows and to number of column.
  • No of row = \sqrt{6400} = 80
