circumstances under whch president impose emerency-

  1. internal armed rebellion - when country's security is threated by internal riots disputes, ets. the president imposes national emergency under article 352
  2. breakdown of constitutional machinery of a state- when a problem arises when the state govt, is unable to run it according to constitutional provisions then state emerency/president rule under article 356 is imposed
  3. financial emergency-it is declared when financial stability or credit of india or its state is threatened under article 360
