There were somemajor reasons why quit India movement was launched.

1)Threat of Japanese invasion in India-Japenese were a huge threat to Indians because british was in constant fight with the japanese So Gandhiji feared that they would invade in India

2)Stafford Cripps a british Labour politician had come to India to resolve Problems and he promised the Indians that full dominion status would be given to the Indians after the ww 2

and elections would be held in order to form the constituent assembly

3)After the failure of the Cripps mission. Gandhiji made a call to do or die. He launched a mass protest demanding for "An orderly British withdrawl from India"
