When a substance is heated, it will not show any change in temperature, if the heat is absorbed by the particles of that substance. When this happens, the kinetic energy of the particles will become more and they become free from the intermolecular force of attraction.

When any substance is heated to change it's State of matter then at the boiling point of it and at the melting point of it it's temperature doesn't change
