Ello user !!!!!!!!

Here is your answer,

=============================================

For total internal reflection to occur, two conditions must be met:

The index of refraction must decrease across the boundary in the direction of light refraction.

The angle of incidence of the light ray must exceed the critical angle of the interface.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOUU :)

There two necessary conditions for Total internal reflection phenomenon to occur

  1. Light should travel from the denser to the rarer medium (i.e the refractive index of the medium 1 should be higher then the medium 2 if the light is travelling from medium 1 ) n1 > n2
  2. The angle of incidence is more than the limiting angle which is known as critical angle. The critical angle will be calculated using Snell' law \frac{Sin(ic)}{Sin(90)} =\frac{n2}{n1} , {Sin(ic)} =\frac{n2}{n1}
